Mexican Riviera: The Other Tropical Paradise

When the fall season and all its glorious colors comes to mind, you naturally picture shades of red, gold and brown. But fall in the Mexican Riviera is commonly known as the "green" season because with the first rainfall, the area comes alive blossoming into lush rain forests and exotic flora, in all shapes and colors. This vibrant landscape, coupled with world class beaches and vibrant cultures is easy to get to since it’s literally just south of the border.

The secret about this tropical paradise is out. According to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the Mexican Riviera has grown into one of the top five cruise destinations, and it’s no wonder. As CLIA puts it, these cruises have it all—charming villages, bustling cities, fabulous food and miles and miles of flawless beaches.

So, if you can imagine taking in the sensational sights and scenes along the Pacific Coast of Mexico, then this is the cruise itinerary for you. Departures are usually from the West Coast ports of Los Angeles or San Diego. Typical ports of call in Mexico include Acapulco, Ixtapa, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta.

Once on your cruise, adventure abounds: from whale watching in the waters of Cabo San Lucas to Sierra Madre hiking in Puerto Vallarta, there’s something for everyone. For the less adventurous cruiser, there’s bird watching in Mazatlan or a breathtaking glimpse of the La Quebrada cliff divers in Acapulco.

So if you’re looking for a different kind of paradise through the fall or winter seasons, don’t hesitate to contact Cruise Holidays for more information.
